Foothill Homes has over 20 years of experience working with imported products and construction in Japan. We have worked in all areas from Kyushu to Hokkaido, and participated on a wide range of projects from commercial developments, multi-house subdivisions, log homes, mansion reforms, and residential housing. We began with importing residential house packages from Canada in the middle 80’ s, progressing to building custom homes in the 90's.

Company president, Neil Hugo grew up in British Columbia, Canada working in his father's construction business as a carpenter. In addition to the on site experience he took courses in construction, architecture and managed his owe construction business until 1986 when he came to Japan. Neil is one of the few foreigners to have a Japanese construction licence.
